Walt Disney World

Ava woke up on Christmas morning to a note telling her to follow Rapunzel's tangled up hair to reveal a Christmas surprise.  She followed the path and found a Rapunzel doll in the Christmas tree along with a note telling her she was going to Disney World!

The next morning we were off to Orlando for some family time!  We stayed at a Disney Springs hotel that still offered Disney perks but also allowed us to use our Hilton points.  We walked around the hotel and played with this photo machine while we waited on our room to be ready and then were off to Disney Springs!

We had a dinner reservation at Planet Hollywood and loved the atmosphere!

After dinner Matt and I shared this Captain Morgan Tea while Ava made some wishes in the fountain and then we walked back to our hotel.

The next morning we were up at 5:15 to catch the shuttle at 6.  Our hotel was part of the Extra Magic Hours so we were able to get in the park an hour earlier than those who weren't staying at a Disney resort.  It was amazing!!

Ava's first choice was Peter Pan and then we rode a few more of our favorites one after the next with little wait.  It worked out perfectly because we had fast passes scheduled in the afternoon after the crowd picked up.

This year Ava was more about the rides than meeting the princesses but we did meet Elena and Cinderella.

I scheduled our fast passes as soon as I possibly could, 60 days out, because Ava has been very interested in roller coasters lately and I wanted to be able to get the passes for those lines if possible.  We went on Space Mountain and then the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.  We took a break for lunch at Be Our Guest and then went on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.  Ava loved them all!

We were able to get a few more evening fast passes and then had a late dinner at the Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh and friends.  The castle looked beautiful at night!

The next morning we slept in until 8, went to breakfast at the hotel, and then enjoyed the lazy river at the hotel for a few hours before we hit the road to come back home.

 Such a fun trip!
I am so thankful we live close enough to make the trip to Disney every so often.  Last time we went Matt had recently broken his foot so it was awesome to all be there in good health :)
