Chattanooga

 Since Matt went to IN early to hunt this season we took our time getting there for Thanksgiving and stayed an extra night in Chattanooga.  Bella stays out all day at home now so we knew we could trust her and Brady in the hotel room :)  We had a slow-moving morning after the long drive the day before and then went to the Tennessee Aquarium at 10am.  After the aquarium we walked to lunch and then drove to Ruby Falls where we went zip lining and did a cave tour where we got to see an underground waterfall.  It was such a fun family day and broke up the drive.

Happy Thanksgiving

We made the drive to Indiana again this year for Thanksgiving!   Matt also went the week before so he could be there for opening day of deer season.  This meant we got to spend some time with him for Thanksgiving this year :)  It was a great few days filled with so much cousin time.  Sara and Grant hosted us one night for pizza and drinks and we had the best time.  Ava got to open her presents from Grandma and Papa before we left.  On the way back we stopped in TN to see Rylee and family - I am feeling extra thankful that we got to see both sisters!

Fall Fun and Halloween

Ava dressed up as Rey from Star Wars this Halloween and we had a great night trick-or-treating in our neighborhood.  Things were definitely slower than normal but it was still so fun.  We made some desserts during the day and passed out all of our candy that night after we got home from trick-or-treating.  Earlier in the month we went to Farmer Mikes for a corn maze and carved pumpkins at home.  We had a storybook parade obstacle course at school and her class read the book Bunnicula and decorated a pumpkin to match.  It was a great month!

Weekend Update: September

This month was back to school and dance but we still made sure to have a lot of fun on the weekends!  We met friends at the Hyatt one weekend and Ava had 2 different birthday parties to attend.  Matt and I had a date night at The Melting Pot last night with the best dinner ever followed by mimosas and bloody marys this morning.  What a great month!

Ava's First Hunt

 Ava joined Matt for her first hunt yesterday!  She was so excited and didn't even complain about the early morning wake up call :)  They got a deer and she was super pumped to "complete the mission".
